For more than 70 years, Manatee River Youth Sailing has introduced thousands of young people to the lifelong sport of sailing. Our mission is to provide a fun, safe, and educational environment where youth learn sportsmanship, responsibility, self-reliance, leadership, and respect for the marine environment.

As a nonprofit educational organization, we work hard to keep our programs affordable and accessible to families throughout our community. While program tuition helps cover a portion of our operating expenses, it does not fully fund the boats, equipment, scholarships, safety programs, and facilities that make our programs possible.

Your support helps provide:

• Need-based scholarships so every child has the opportunity to participate, regardless of financial circumstances.
• Sailboats, sails, life jackets, and safety equipment needed to keep our fleet safe and accessible.
• Coach boat operation and maintenance, including fuel, repairs, and equipment upgrades.
• Program expansion to reach more children through after-school, homeschool, summer camp, and community outreach programs.
• Waterfront facility improvements that enhance safety and the overall participant experience.
• Administrative and operational expenses that keep our programs running efficiently year-round.
